Keeping abreast of developments in the world of hearing impairment is difficult. That is why Hear and Learn continually procures advice from Access and Disability Consultants, and Audiologists, to make sure we don’t put product before concept.
That is, we are committed to improving our offerings to make sure they reflect what is evolving in the world of hearing aids, and receivers built into them.
The Victorian School Building Authority is also at the forefront of Australian regulation in making it clear that traditional thought needs to be abandoned.
New rules in the May 2022 Building Quality Standards Handbook reflect the advice we continually procure.
At page 127 VSBA Building Quality Standards Handbook it is stated:
“Assistive hearing technologies are constantly evolving, which means that installed hearing augmentation and sound field solutions must be as agile as possible”
The backbone of these regulations is that personal technology worn by hard of hearing Australian has and is evolving. There is no universal platform to achieve transmission to all receivers in all aids.
TSwitch is not built into all aids which means induction based solutions do not work for everyone. This also means that infra-red or radio frequency devices that emit to neckloops worn by people within learning spaces don’t work for everyone.
Hear and Learn’s solutions achieve this goal of agility, and allow learning spaces to be future proofed.
