Inclusion and Compliance the driver of hearing augmentation upgrade at Melbourne Library

The City of Moonee Valley in Melbourne operate many libraries and as part of its upgrade of it’s Flemington location, made compliance a cornerstone of its planning.

Conscious of the evolution of assistive listening devices, and the receivers built into them, Hear and Learn were consulted to ensure best practice compliance with hearing augmentation requirements in the Building and Construction Code and Australian Standard AS 1428.5:2021 Design for access and mobility Communication for people who are deaf or hearing impaired.

As a consequence, the Hear and Learn UConnect SoundHouse was adopted as part of the upgrade.
