Overcoming the limitations of infra-red technology compared to Hear and Learn’s Access soundfield transmission platform

The evolution of transmission platforms continues across all technologies including that in education settings.

Soundfield technology – sometimes called voice lift or Soundfield Amplification Systems or Classroom Sound Enhancement – is evolving too and part of that is driven to overcome the limitations of using infra-red light to transmit from a teacher worn microphone to a receiver/amplifier.

Plumpton Public School has technology using IR transmission and researched the ability to add to it so as to exploit the advantages of Hear and Learn’s Access platform. Using 1.9 GHZ to not clash with Wi-Fi and the like that uses 2.4 GHZ, this platform means that there is no risk of signal drop out.
